Connecting the dots – Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Sustainability

We are no more living in a world where businesses can survive and professionals can thrive while working in silos. In this era, different domains of expertise are blending with each other using a multidisciplinary approach to address problems of the real world.

If we consider United Nations’ defined Sustainable Development goals, we find that these goals require a multidisciplinary approach for their achievement. Consider Artificial intelligence and blockchain technology for instance, these different domains are deeply rooted now in the financial world where different registries and ledgers are interconnected and data driven approach is applied for getting the outputs. Sustainability is also no exception where artificial intelligence and block chain technologies are deployed as in the business world not only financial record and registries are maintained but also non-financial records and registries resulting in more rationalized approach for conducting businesses and reaching appropriate decisions.

For instance, consider Carbon credit markets also where data for carbon offset mechanism is required to be maintained using various software tools and technologies.
